Vietnam Laguna Resort approves extension of RFC
Vietnam is one of the countries that has benefited greatly from the collapse of the Macau casino industry, high-yield gamblers in mainland China prefer to travel to Vietnamese casinos with relaxed gambling laws, and the Vietnamese government encourages foreign investors to set up new casinos in the country because the gambling taxes incurred will be very beneficial to the country.
Banyan Tree Group previously proposed the construction of an integrated entertainment project to be located north of the central Vietnamese coastal city of Da Nang, which will be built on more than 280 hectares of major coastal properties, making it a huge tourist destination to boost Vietnamese tourism.
The Vietnamese government gave developers a deadline of August 6 to submit a conceptual request (RFC) explaining the use and development plan of the allocated land, but as it took more time to write specific RFCs, the Vietnamese government asked the Banyan Tree Group to extend the deadline for submitting the RFC as it considered the mega project a very important investment in the country, and extended the deadline until September 15, 2015.
Banyan Tree Group previously had Global Market Advisors LLC to conduct detailed gaming market assessments to find out how profitable the Vietnamese market is. Global Market Advisors is an expert who provides data analysis for the casino and aviation industry. In a statement, Andrew Klebanow, a partner at Global Market Advisors, said, "Vietnam is experiencing an exciting time in the gaming industry, with potential relaxations of the country's gaming laws expected to attract more foreign investment. We believe this [RFC deadline] extension is necessary to allow the parties time to fine-tune their concepts and encourage more investors to participate in this RFC process." 바다이야기
The extended deadline will give investors and companies additional time to send their concepts to develop this world-class integrated entertainment project. The integrated entertainment project will include many luxury facilities including a Nick Faldo-designed golf course, 229-room Angsana Resort, 57-villa Banyan Tree Resort, 10 top restaurants and bars, two high-end spas, and a state-of-the-art conference center.
